Vote.

This country was built on the backs of people who fought and died for the simple right to vote. A simple act of giving EVERYONE, both rich and poor, an equal voice.

Vote.

Whether "you are with her", or "you want to make America great again", you are in a country where your vote matters.

I have seen countries where it doesn't.

For the last year I have hear everyone voice their opinion on facebook... so please... now voice your opinion where it actually counts! :)

I leave with you the wonderful image that took place on November 6, 1917 – When women in New York won the Right To Vote. Remember, women didn't always have that right.

Vote.

---On this day in history, the men of New York approved a constitutional amendment to allow women the right to vote. The achievement of state voting rights for women came three years before the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution giving women the vote in national elections.

Rebecca Murga works in Los Angeles as a writer, producer, and director of news, op-eds, and documentary films. She produces and directs short films and feature documentary segments in both English and Spanish. Her work has been featured on Mundo Fox, ABC, CBS, and AFN. She was recently selected for the AFI Conservatory Directing Workshop for Women.

Currently serving as a Captain and Public Affairs Officer in the US Army Reserve, Rebecca has deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan.

Rebecca is a passionate advocate for veterans and women's issues. Her articles on veterans and women's issues have been published in The New York Times, The Global Journal, The Morning Call, and San Jose Mercury News, to name a few. She has appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America," and "The View." Most recently, she was featured on NPR as the director of a short film “War Ink” which tells veteran's war stories through their tattoos.
